Europa League: Arsenal Were Not Good Enough Against Ostersunds FK- Jack Wilshere

Jack Wilshere has acknowledged that Arsenal was “not good enough” as they shockingly fell to a 2-1 defeat to Ostersunds FK in their Europa League last-32 second leg on Thursday night.
Ostersunds were on top in the first half at the Emirates Stadium and led 2-0 thanks to Calum Chambers’s own goal and Ken Sema’s strike.
The Gunners halved the deficit on 47 minutes through Sead Kolasinac and, thanks to their 3-0 victory in the first leg, ultimately reached the last 16 with a 4-2 aggregate win, though the final whistle was met with boos from the home fans.
“We were nowhere near it and not good enough,” Wilshere told BT Sport after the game. “We are through and that is all that counts. We will see who we get tomorrow and refocus on the big game on Sunday [the EFL Cup final].
“When you are 3-0 up in a two-legged game you have to go again. It is only half-time and we maybe underestimated them a little. We were not good enough, we will accept that and move on. We are through, that is probably the only positive.”
